Factory Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all operations. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash, quality targets and progress reports to company headquarter
  • Create work schedules, assign tasks and coordinate manufacturing activities
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions
  • Allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards
  • Monitor production metrics and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Evaluate employee’s performance and coach production teams
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet quality standards
  • Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement
  • Make decisions related to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions
  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations
  • Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers
  • Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, and that the factory is in compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues
  • Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve production processes and reduce costs
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that raw materials and finished products are stored and handled properly
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure that production meets customer demand

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial management, logistics, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a management position in a food manufacturing plant
  • Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control
  • Knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Effective communications skills
