Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of quality control technicians responsible for analyzing and managing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
- Champion a culture of safety and quality, ensuring adherence to company safety procedures and standards.
- Responsibilities include assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and driving improvements in safety, analytical methods, equipment, and working conditions.
- Focus on enhancing employee relations, coaching and developing staff, resolving issues, and striving for continuous improvement in all areas.
- Manage department priorities, oversee training programs, resolve non-conformance issues, update standard operating procedures (SOP), and investigate root causes of contamination and quality issues.
- Review product Statistical Process Control (SPC)/ Statistical quality control (SQC) alerts, perform investigation as needed and respond with corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for providing regular reports, completing required training, evaluating employee competency, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and plant documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Possesses more than 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a quality related function or chemical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with gas chromatography (GC), Fourier-Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) and other on line analyzer equipment and sampling systems.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques used for characterization of trace impurities in chemicals.
- Proficient in Automation and control systems and is capable of implementing programming techniques and configurations.
- Strong leadership, team player, problem solving, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities satisfactorily.
- This position may be required to work on rotating shifts, and along with being flexible to changing schedules and shifts as needed.
