The incumbent will be managing a range of internet advertising products used mainly by Rakuten Ichiba's merchants. You will be responsible for planning, development and operations of our online advertising products and systems, thereby taking the lead to achieve our goals and improvement of the product. At the same time, you will also manage the internal organization or external agencies (or vendors) to reach our product's goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the profit and loss of the product.
- Facilitate ad product improvement by working together with our engineering team in Singapore and business team in Japan to design roadmaps and release plans to improve its performance.
- Make key decisions regarding ad product requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for salespersons, agencies and vendors.
- Manage contract and daily operation flow with agencies and vendors.
- Lead improvement activities in team operations.
- Conduct data analysis to clarify issues and identify improvement points.
- Manage tasks and schedules considering business situations.
- Develop strategies for ad product improvement & expansion to achieve targeted KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of project or product management experience.
- Proficiency in Japanese (business level) for frequent communication with Japanese counterparts.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint for delivering presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the Advertising & Media Industry, Travel Internet Industry (agency side, media side, OTA etc.) or Coupon Platforms, eCommerce, and IT service services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to effectively multi-task across projects.
- Excellent communication skills and conflict management skills.
- Precision in detailed work such as report creation and data analysis.
- High commitment to achieving team goals.
