Purpose
Lead the SEA & Oceania sub-regional regulatory function in order to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, according to relevant laws and corporate guidelines.
Core Responsibilities
Regulatory Policy
- Ensure all products comply with safety and regulatory requirements and is consistent with commercial, creation and research requirements
- Provide regulatory consulting to internal and external customers.
- In partnership with Regional Regulatory Head, contribute to the development of global policies and implementation within sub-region
- Provide surveillance for regulatory /legislative issues within sub-region, implement and lead advocacy plans with the Regional Regulatory Head
- Direct interaction with senior management within sub-region to ensure regulation function is supporting business and clients appropriately
External Relations
- Represent Givaudan with Authorities and Trade Organisations in the sub-region
Processes & Systems
- Assure integrity of regulatory systems and database as well as protection of regional intellectual property
People Management
- Manage and direct regulatory staff in sub-region
- Identify training needs and development opportunities for all regional regulatory staff within sub-region
- Identify and develop talent within organization to ensure depth of talent and succession plan
Academic Background
- University / Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field
Professional Experience
- Minimum 10-12 years regulatory or relevant experience
Technical Skills
- In depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in key markets
- Expert knowledge of regulatory issues, trends and pending legislation in the sub-region
- Is viewed as key regulatory expert in the sub-region
- Advanced knowledge of programmed systems and database management
- Expert understanding of global regulatory issues
