Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) incorporated in 2000, is a wholly-owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It is created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users.

Reporting to the General Manager and Head of Corporate Services, the Finance & Admin Manager’s main responsibilities include

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing processes including analyzing financial reports including liaising with auditors, tax agent and bankers for all financial & accounting matters.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the management team.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the outsourced accounting firm on finance matters.
  • Preparation of documents, including Quotations, POs, DOs and Invoices including monitoring of Account Receivable
  • Preparation of payments, including managing Account Payable to ensure timely accurate payment
  • Responsible for Banking relationships
  • Oversees Fixed Assets Registers
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in any other finance and admin-related matters as required

Job Requirements :

  • Minimum Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification preferred.
  • At least min 6 years of experience in the full spectrum of financial and accounting.
  • Previous experience in big 4 audit firm is preferred.
  • Having previous experience in project accounting is desirable.
  • Prior working experience in government agencies will be highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Word is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Updating and implementing all necessary business policies and accounting practices to improve the Finance department’s overall SOPs.
  • Facilitating and providing secretarial support for the Board’s discussions.
  • Meticulous, detailed, self-motivated, and responsible individual who has proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  • 5-day work week
