The Quality Assurance Manager (Digital Product) will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support in test planning, execution, and reporting
- Develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on project requirements. Execute tests, analyze results, and identify defects to ensure software meets quality standards and functional requirements
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of testing processes and product quality. Use metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to prioritize testing activities, communicate test progress, and facilitate timely resolution of issues. Provide regular updates on the status of testing efforts and quality metrics to stakeholders
- Drive the implementation of test automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability of testing processes. Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and frameworks for both UI and API testing
- Establish and enforce quality assurance best practices, standards, and processes across the organization. Continuously evaluate and optimize testing methodologies to enhance product quality and delivery speed
Job Requirements
- 7-8 years of experience in leading automated testing at a mid-large scale client facing software engineering setup, with a proven track record in leading successful QA testing strategies and team or functional management
- Proficiency in various testing methodologies such as black-box testing, white-box testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing, along with a deep understanding of when and how to apply each method effectively
- Strong skills in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, or JUnit, enabling efficient and scalable automation of test cases to streamline the testing process and improve productivity
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in software development, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, to develop automated test scripts, conduct code reviews, and collaborate effectively with developers
- Familiarity with quality assurance tools for test management, defect tracking, and performance testing, such as Jira, TestRail, or LoadRunner, to streamline testing processes, track defects, and monitor product quality
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI to automate build, test, and deployment processes, facilitating rapid and reliable delivery of software updates while maintaining quality standards
