About the job
This role is responsible for the strategy, structure, transparent monitoring, quality, reporting, and evaluation of the authorization process for Groups, Districts, and Systems (GDS) in order to successfully support the implementation of quality IB programmes, and elements of IB an IB Education for GDS. This role is a critical partner for the IB’s Government Partnerships, Business Development, IB World Schools, IB Educators Network (IBEN), and Professional Learning departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the development of a global IB strategy for authorization of GDS in line with IB business objectives and the larger organizational strategy.
- Leading the development and implementation of a global standardization for GDS authorization, revising and updating as part of a continuous improvement cycle.
- Continually monitor and analyze data, QA surveys and dashboards, developments and trends for GDS.
- Developing and implementing a communication plan for the assigned GDS authorization portfolio and all GDS under their leadership; include clear and concise communications with IBE’s supporting GDS.
- Contributing to IB projects, initiatives and working groups to represent the interest of GDS and ensure an execution and delivery, within project objectives and specifications.
About you
- Master’s degree in education, business administration, operations, or similar with extensive relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the key features of IB programmes and in-depth understanding of at least one IB programme. Experience as educator, coordinator, member of the IB Educator Network preferred.
- In depth understanding of education systems and practices in public, private and international school systems.
- In depth knowledge of with the IB’s authorization process and the systems and supports used to implement the processes.
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills in at least one IB language, and fluency in a second IB language is preferred.
- Data drive with experience tracking data trends and using data to inform decisions.
- Willingness to work flexibly and to travel as required.
