We are looking for a passionate WSH Coordinator to join our team. The WSH Coordinator will play a critical role in assisting in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor WSH policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Review of risk assessments and safe work procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on best WSH practices, including emergency response, safe work procedures, risk assessments and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate WSH practices into daily operations and ensure the effectiveness of safety programs.
- Stay current with changes in workplace, safety and health regulations, approved code of practices and standards to ensure the company remains compliant.
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization through continuous improvement initiatives and employee engagement.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar WSH role, preferably within a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international WSH regulations and standards.
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) certification is required.
- Other certifications e.g. Occupational First Aider, Managing Work-At-Heights, Confined Space Assessor would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present and discuss WSH topics with employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other WSH-management softwares.
