Research Engineer/Senior Research Engineer, ARTC

The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) is a public-private partnership consortium of

more than 80 industry members. Our core mission is to develop and deploy advanced manufacturing

solutions and upskill the workforce to drive local industry competitiveness.

Smart Virtual Systems (SVS) Group is seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer/ Senior Research

Engineer to implement highly available and scalable microservices-based applications and platforms for

autonomous manufacturing applications. He/she is expected to be independent and initiative-driven,

demonstrating the capacity to discover innovative solutions to challenges.

The key roles and responsibilities include the following:

-Develop, test, and maintain enterprise planning system and applications.

-Analyze complex problems related to resource planning and scheduling, identify potential solutions,

and implement the most effective one.

-Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.

-Deploy software to production environments and provide ongoing maintenance and support to

customers.

-Be responsible for documenting of code with technical specifications, user manuals, and other

documentations to facilitate understanding and maintenance by other team members.

-Identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and scalability issues to ensure optimal performance

of software system

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in computer science/engineering or relevant Disciplines
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Software Developer/Engineer
  • Hands-on experience in Cloud Native Technologies such as in micro-services, DevSecOps, and Container Platforms
  • Proficiency in designing and developing microservices and software systems using C# .NET and angular
  • A good understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker registry, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying and managing microservices using container orchestration platforms (on-prem/public cloud)
  • Can do attitude and happy to interface with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through, and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
