- Team Leadership: As a group of technicians tests multi-way valves, provide them guidance and leadership.
- In order to find flaws, malfunctions, or performance problems, supervise the examination and troubleshooting of multi-way valves and HPS pumps.
- Testing Management: Oversee and direct the multi-way valve testing procedure, making sure that quality guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Help the manager with subcontractor/spares supplier interactions, such as purchasing and arranging for the necessary spares and keeping track of consumable spares and service kits in inventory.
- Recommendation and Servicing: To maximise performance and longevity, provide knowledgeable suggestions based on test results and supervise component servicing.
- Reporting: Write thorough reports that include testing methods, findings, and suggestions for both internal and external records. Internally report to the superintendent engineer.
- Test Equipment Maintenance: To ensure accurate and dependable results, make sure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Sales Arrangements: Work together with the sales team to comprehend requirements, respond to questions, and offer technical assistance as required.
- QA: To guarantee the precision and dependability of FIVA component testing, put quality assurance procedures into place and enforce them.
- Process Improvement: To increase efficacy and efficiency, find areas where testing procedures can be improved, then make the necessary adjustments.
- Training and Development: Ensure that the staff receives the necessary instruction and direction to improve their abilities and adhere to industry best practices and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a marine or mechanical engineering degree or diploma
- At least five years of experience working in the marine, offshore, or power generation industries with two- and four-stroke diesel engines, as well as familiarity with high-speed engines
