Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Design and implement network solutions as part of the Network Engineering team
- Maintain and update detailed network documentation
- Serve as an escalation point for resolving complex problems requiring advanced skills and research capabilities
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with licensing and support agreements
- Oversee projects, coordinating with remote hands vendors and internal staff
- Share knowledge by authoring and maintaining system run books and documentation
- Work independently, driving tasks to completion based on a pre-established project plan
- Communicate with customers and team members throughout project assignments, providing regular progress updates via the project management system
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Cisco products, including functionality, configuration, and best practices
- Proficiency in QoS, IPSLA, DMVPN, WAN, MPLS, SIP, PRI, IPSEC, and STP
- Experience with Cisco AnyConnect VPN
- Strong working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows networking configuration and protocols
- Expertise in error investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a network engineer managing primarily Cisco-based networks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the data NOC Team.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or higher
- Familiarity with SolarWinds monitoring platform
- 7+ years of Cisco experience (routing with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; switching, DMVPN, IPsec, SSL VPN)
- 4+ years of firewall experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto
- Experience with Meraki
- Knowledge of Cisco DNA/ISE
