The successful candidate will work at NEA’s Environmental Health Institute (EHI), a multi-disciplinary scientific environment which focuses on forging and maintaining strategic collaborations with local and international partners, research institutions and other public health related agencies. You are required to develop communication strategies and support outreach activities to increase EHI’s profile. Your main role will involve creating digital content and engaging the public in various platforms (activities, events, phone, email, online, etc) to raise awareness and secure support for programmes. The job will provide you with excellent opportunities to demonstrate your creativity, communication and project management skills.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies to increase visibility of EHI’s programmes
- Develop content for stakeholder engagement, e.g. pamphlets, website, social media content, videos, infographics
- Graphic Design Software Proficiency: Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other similar tools is essential for creating visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and images
- Video Editing Skills: Knowledge of video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is important for creating and editing video content for digital platforms
- Web Design and Development: Understanding of web design principles, HTML, CSS, and possibly JavaScript can be beneficial for creating digital content that is optimised for online platforms and websites.
- Analyse and report on the performance of digital marketing efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand and digital initiatives align with overall business objectives
- Support EHI’s internal and external capacity-building activities
- Support events and visits at EHI’s research facilities
Job Requirements:
- Excellent command of spoken and written English with strong presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro) and familiar with digital content creation
- Strong working knowledge of editorial processes, copy-editing, design, photography, photo-editing, and video-editing is an advantage
- Interest or experience in communicating scientific concepts to a variety of audiences. Able to present complex information in an accessible manner
- Able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
