Our client, an established pharmaceutical company is currently seeking a candidate to join them as a Business Development Manager (M&A).
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive growth and expansion initiatives through strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and market knowledge
- Identify and evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities within the designated SEA region markets such as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to assess market trends, competitor landscape, and potential target companies
- Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts or business owners, to source potential deals
- Prepare and present detailed financial models, valuation analysis, and business cases to support investment decisions
- Negotiate deal terms and structure agreements to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and maximize value creation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate acquired companies seamlessly into the organization
- Monitor and evaluate post-acquisition performance, identifying areas for optimization
- Stay abreast of industry/ regulatory changes, and emerging trends that may impact M&A activity
- Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives and long-term growth plans, providing insights and recommendations
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record in developing new business within Asia Pacific markets
- Strong background in identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities
- Strong understanding of M&A legal and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Candidate must be comfortable with business travels as required
