The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at NTU is seeking a highly skilled and motivated research staff to join our team. We are looking for a researcher with experience in working with carbon and glass fiber composite materials, epoxies, fire resistance and/or mechanical behavior of composites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within the framework of the project to achieve and go beyond the project objectives.
- The candidate’s primary responsibility is to understand and improve the thermal insulation characteristics of epoxy based composites that are used for construction applications.
- The candidate is expected to interact and closely work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- Expected to display a very high degree of professional ethics
- Understand the safety issues while working with composites and fire protection materials.
Job Requirements:
- Minimally Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or science disciplines is required
- Applicants with PhD preferred.
- The candidate is expected to be an expert in the handling/processing of epoxy composites and/or fire retardancy.
- The candidate is required to understand insulation mechanisms, and work towards project goals within the timeframe of the project.
- Relevant experience (flame retardant materials, manufacturing of epoxy composites, testing of fire resistance, etc.) is significant advantage.
- Flame retardancy background is considered as a huge positive.
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
