Programme Executive

1. Job Summary

As a Programme Executive at New Hope Community Services, you will play a vital role in driving our mission to bring change into the lives of the displaced and disadvantaged in our community. This pivotal role involves spearheading the strategic development and execution of our programmes / events, aimed at fostering positive change and holistic support for our residents / clients. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programme activities / events, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. The Programme Executive works collaboratively with our dedicated cross-functional teams, community partners, and stakeholders, to be a Beacon of New Hope to the displaced and disadvantaged in our community.

2. Key Responsibilities

Programme Development and Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage programmes and services based on community needs assessments and organisational goals. This may include planning and conducting support groups, monthly town halls and community events for the Tenants.
  • Create and maintain programme policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure quality and compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance, including tracking outcomes and reporting on key performance indicators.

Intake and Admissions

  • Act in accordance with the HDB Service Model. Conduct intake and admissions in a timely manner for urgent and normal referrals.
  • Coordinate admissions of Tenants in line with internal processes.
  • Facilitate orientations / admissions of Tenants.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with community organisations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance programme delivery and build effective partnerships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and integration of programmes / events with organisational objectives.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely processing of referrals / intakes and other day-to-day tasks.
  • Attend key internal meetings (team meetings, room allocation meetings and other important meetings).

Client Support and Advocacy

  • Provide direct support and advocacy for Tenants, addressing their needs and ensuring they have access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Manage Tenant interactions, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit regular statistics / data on programme progress, outcomes, and financial status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to programme activities and Tenant interactions, as well as intakes and admissions.
  • Familiarising with Internal Standards of Practice for service delivery and abiding by internal processes as guided by the Reporting Officer.

Others

  • Any other related duties in New Hope CS as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

4. Competency Requirements

  • Customer Orientation: Commit to exceeding both internal and external clients’ needs. Proactively identify clients’ needs and sustain a culture of service excellence within the organisation.
  • Adaptability: Strong team player who is resourceful, adaptable, and able to perform multitasks under a given timeline.
  • Collaboration: Willing to work with the homeless and destitute. Able to handle shelter residents politely yet firmly.
  • Good organisational and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in IT Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors
  • Relevant volunteering experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.
