The Division of Neurosurgery at the National University Hospital (NUH) is hiring a Research Assistant (RA) to conduct recruitment and data analysis for ongoing studies on the development of connectomics and precision neuromodulation in stroke and brain tumors.
The RA will play an important role in the development of research projects on investigating individualised parcellations of functional connectivity and precision neuromodulation in patients with stroke and brain tumors. Successful candidates will be expected to perform interviews with patients in local hospitals and at patients’ homes, facilitate imaging scans for patients, develop an analysis pipeline on individualised parcellations of functional connectivity, and facilitate neuromodulation trials in patients with stroke and brain tumors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiating and managing research cohort database
- Screening and recruitment of eligible participants
- Patient interviews using validated questionnaires and neuropsychological tests
- Facilitating imaging scans for patients' neuroimaging protocol
- Data entry, data management, and data analysis
- Developing pipeline for individualised parcellations of functional connectivity
- Facilitate neuromodulation trials using navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation
Job Specification/Requirements
Qualification, experience, and skills:
- Degree in psychology, neuroscience, or computer science
- Strong technical expertise in computational neuroscience
- Experience in conducting patient interviews and interviewer-administered surveys
- Good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, independent learner and detail-oriented
