Responsibilities:
- Handle user inquiries and technical issues across a range of products and platforms
- Monitor system performance, identify and resolve system or network issues, and make necessary configuration changes
- Troubleshoot and address complex system and network problems using advanced diagnostic tools
- Work with development teams to solve challenging software issues
- Analyze recurring problems to find root causes and develop effective improvement strategies
- Maintain detailed records of all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Read and understand code in various programming languages, with a willingness to learn new ones as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Operations Engineer or in a similar role within an IT environment
- Proficiency in system monitoring and customer support tools, such as Zendesk
- Solid understanding of project management and best practices in IT operations
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical issues to non-technical teams
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with government or public sector IT operations
- Knowledge of preventive measures for system reliability and stability
