The Assistant Cancer Navigator’s core duty is to assist the Cancer Navigator in providing care and support to cancer patients for their overall well-being and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in administrative duties.
- Gather information and documentation from clients and their families to assist them with financial assistance.
- Document case recordings according to support provided for the client
- Assist to advocate and create awareness for the needs of cancer patients
- Conduct regular check-ins and home visits to provide support required by the client, as instructed from cancer navigator
- Support the preparation and logistics required to run programs and support groups
Qualification And/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Service, Community Health
- Part-time undergraduates or individuals with relevant working experience looking for a switch in career are welcomed to apply
- Open to work with clients of various age groups (children, adolescents, young adults, middle adults, older adults)
Other Requirements:
- Able to assist in executing logistical duties for in-house and external programmes
- Able to work on weekends as required by supervisor if the need arises (for outings with clients, support group sessions, outreach programmes)
- Ability to travel for home-visits
