Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Airport Terminal Cargo Assistant to join our team at Changi Airfreight Center. In this role, you will be responsible for managing import clearance at the airport terminal, ensuring efficient cargo handling and the smooth flow of goods through the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and tender cargo from/to agents at the airport cargo terminals.
- Receive, unload, and store cargo in the warehouse.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all goods.
- Prepare goods for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles.
- Fork pallets and irregulars for sorting or breakdown.
- Manage contractors assigned to assist loading and unloading processes.
Requirements:
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Previous experience with airport terminal operations and import clearance is an advantage.
- Possess at least Secondary education or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Basic proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts.
- Position is based at Airport Cargo Road.
- Must be willing to work in Changi Airfreight Center and pass required security checks.
