Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate and work closely within the Finance Business Partner team with partner divisions and to ensure Financial Sustainability and Operational Excellence through effective Governance processes. The FBP team fosters a strong partnership with business units and management, serving as trusted advisors who add value by assisting in decision-making processes. To drive success and efficiency within the organization by providing strategic financial guidance and support.
Month-end closing and reporting:
Update the monthly financial tracker and reporting deck for various divisions/programs.
Perform manpower allocation/adjustment for products and programs on a quarterly/half-yearly basis.
Allocate central costs to products/programs on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Prepare templates for monthly/quarterly revenue/expense accruals and any ad-hoc reclassification journal with supporting documents and approvals to ensure proper accounting.
Ensure month/year-end close activities are performed in a timely manner, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Follow up promptly on all outstanding issues.
Budgeting Ops:
Collaborate with project teams to identify purchase order lines for retagging/closure and fixed assets for transfer/re-tag.
Request and seek approval for budget virement between/across projects and cost centers when necessary.
Grants and Governance:
Prepare templates with supporting documents to facilitate the recovery of grants/expenses.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, IMs, and government policies.
Process Improvement:
Engage in continuous system enhancements and process improvement initiatives; conduct UAT if necessary to ensure logic accuracy as per requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
- Undertake ad hoc projects, analysis work, or any other duties assigned.
Job requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/ACCA or a relevant professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Previous experience in Finance Business Partner roles within the Technology industry is highly desirable.
· Sophisticated presentation and storytelling skills – build insightful presentation and effectively communicate business narrative to influence and become a trusted business partner
· Possess good organization skills, supervisory skills, initiatives and detailed oriented
· Strong team player, independent with excellent communication skills
· Meticulous, detailed and ability to prepare monthly management reports in a timely and effective manner
· Strong MS applications skills ( Power BI , Tableau. Programming knowledge will be an added advantage)
