Job Description:
- Position: Resident Engineer (stationed at client’s office - local bank)
- Well Established Singapore Based IT Service Provider
- Working hours: Monday – Friday
- Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $5,000
- Working Location: Island-wide
- Duration: Permanent
- Industry: IT
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting and servicing of Bank’s request for hands-on engineering function at Bank’s Datacenters.
- Troubleshooting any hardware related issues.
- Installation of related software as per required for Microsoft, VMware for hypervisor layer.
- Installation and configuration of servers, KVM switches and cabling work.
- Server decommissioning and upgrade activities.
- Patching of latest software updates as required.
Requirements:
- Possess diploma in Computer Science or professional certifications.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in similar role and environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, VMware, or HP/Dell server would be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of products such as HP and Dell servers.
