Responsibilities
- Global Compliance Support: Assist the Head of Legal and Ethics & Compliance lead in developing and enhancing compliance and regulatory policies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the writing, review, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures across the organization, covering key areas such as personal data protection, anti-bribery, trade sanctions, and ethics and conduct.
- Legal & Regulatory Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of laws and regulations in Singapore, as well as key jurisdictions like the US, UK, and EU, to translate legal requirements into actionable policies and procedures.
- Data Protection & Governance: Manage processes related to data protection and governance, including third-party due diligence, risk management, and data breach incident management plans.
- Compliance Management: Oversee compliance processes, including third-party due diligence screening, management of bribery or sanctions red flags, vendor risk management, and coordination with relevant business units.
- Training & Communication: Develop and roll out compliance training programs, including organization-wide communications, e-learning modules, and face-to-face or online workshops.
- Team Collaboration & Independence: Work independently while also being a good team player, open to learning and managing new compliance or regulatory areas as needed.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Law degree preferred, no need to be a qualified lawyer.
- Certifications: Practitioner certificate in personal data protection (Singapore), EU General Data Protection Regulation certification, or an equivalent certification in the privacy field is an advantage.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, with a focus on data privacy and general compliance.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise policies and procedures.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative & Resilience: Self-starter with a positive learning attitude, able to take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate high resilience and determination.
- Work Arrangement: Work from office 4 days a week in Changi. EP application possible; candidates from abroad may apply, though relocation packages are subject to negotiation.
