The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at NTU is seeking a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. We are looking for a Research Fellow with experience in working with flame retardant materials and/or EV battery thermal runaway and propagation behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within the framework of the project to achieve and go beyond the project objectives.
- Understand the approaches for fire safety strategies involving EV batteries, extinguishing methodologies and forensic investigations.
- Expected to interact and closely work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- Expected to display a very high degree of professional ethics
- Understand the safety issues while working with EV batteries and fire protection materials.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in relevant engineering or science disciplines is required;
- Relevant experience (flame retardant materials, thermal runaway aspects of batteries, etc.) is significant advantage.
- The candidate is expected to be an expert in the handling/processing of polymeric materials.
- The candidate is required to understand battery chemistry and associated thermal degradation mechanisms.
