Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the company's general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, classified, and reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and ensure timely payments. Manage customer invoicing, collections, and payment application to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements with the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation.
  • Financial Reporting: Assists in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the finance team in calculating and filing various tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Finance Manager to create and monitor departmental budgets and provide financial insights for forecasting purposes.
  • Auditing: Prepare financial data and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to optimize financial performance and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Financial Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software proficiently to streamline financial processes and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and insights for decision-making and business planning.
  • Any ad hoc task assigned by superior including administrative work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate must possess at least a degree in accounting.
  • At least 2 years of working experience and reporting knowledge are required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software (knowledge of SQL/Autocount is an added advantage.
  • Sharp time management skills and work independently, able to work under pressure with a teamwork-based approach.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, flexible, and adaptable to change, continuously driven to challenge and improve.
