We are looking for a Finance Manager to serve as a strategic business partner and finance expert, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial and management reports for Asia Pacific. In this newly created role, you will help build a strong control environment and foster a culture of quality.
We need someone who is independent, detail-oriented, and proactive. You should have excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights. You will drive continuous improvement, challenge the status quo, and manage a small team of accountants. Collaboration across all business areas is key.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage month-end close processes, reviewing accounts payable, general ledger, P&L, balance sheets, and accruals across Asia Pacific.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in line with US GAAP and local standards.
- Oversee tax and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions in the region.
- Manage internal audits, SOX compliance, external audits, and treasury functions.
- Support business departments by identifying cost drivers and helping meet P&L targets.
- Conduct flux analysis (actual vs budget) and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial dashboards for business stakeholders.
- Oversee revenue accounting, billing, and operations.
- Lead outsourced service providers in accounting, tax, and compliance matters.
- Provide guidance on policies and procedures, working closely with senior management and finance teams across the region and globally.
- Lead the implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and corporate projects.
- Streamline, standardize, and automate financial processes for greater efficiency.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA preferred).
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a Big 4 audit firm and 5 years in general accounting and FP&A in a global, multi-country organization.
- Experience managing internal and outsourced teams.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, including US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and knowledge of local tax laws in Asia Pacific.
- Solid business acumen with FP&A experience and the ability to break down financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse teams across countries and cultures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
