Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects; analyze project specs and drawings to determine scope and costs.
- Quantity Take-off: Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor; collaborate with project teams for accurate assessments.
- Budgeting and Cost-control: Develop and manage project budgets; monitor costs and recommend savings.
- Tendering and Procurement: Assist in tender preparation and procurement; evaluate bids for competitiveness and compliance.
- Contract Administration: Manage MEP contracts, variations, and claims; ensure compliance and resolve disputes.
- Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality; implement recommendations with design and construction teams.
- Risk Management: Assess cost-related risks; develop mitigation strategies.
- Cost Reporting: Generate and analyze cost reports; provide recommendations based on data.
- Collaboration: Work with architects, engineers, and contractors; participate in project meetings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with MEP regulations and stay updated on industry standards.
- Ad-Hoc: Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance; perform other duties as assigned by the HOD.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial, commercial, or data-center projects.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with initiative and commitment.
