A leading Fintech company is growing rapidly and they are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DB2) to join the team here in Singapore.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, implement, and maintain databases for various applications and systems
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards
- Perform database backups, recovery, and troubleshooting
- Optimize database performance, query optimization, and indexing
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schema and stored procedures
- Monitor database storage, capacity planning, and upgrades
- Implement and maintain database security measures, access controls, and authentication
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and developers
- Stay up-to-date with new database technologies, trends, and best practices
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in database administration (DBA) in relational databases (DB2 is a must, Oracle, Postgre) and database management systems (DBMS)
- Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization
- Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning
- Strong in Unix and Windows Server
- Experience with Python, Perl and Java
- Experience with database backup and recovery, security, and compliance
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
