We are seeking a Workplace Safety & Health Officer to ensure the development, implementation, and oversight of health and safety programs and policies within our organization.
Key accountabilities include:
- Maintain safety & health standards in accordance with the WSH Act and WSH legislative requirements
- Understanding and compliance with statutory requirements and client’s expectation.
- Establish and review the project-specific Safety Management System.
- Develop, review, and maintain Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and other relevant legal HSE documents for the main contractor, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Administer safety & health records in line with company’s accreditation (bizSAFE Star) and participate in ISO 9001 implementation and audits.
- Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other relevant authorities on WSH-related matters as applicable.
- Conduct investigations to accidents and incidents, interview affected parties and also implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrence
- Organise and ensure safety and health talks and toolbox meetings are conducted for all personnel on site.
- Organize safety campaign and training based on safe work procedures and risk assessments to enhance greater EHS Culture.
- Maintain the company and workers' PPE, tools, and equipment register.
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are in proper working condition and meet health and safety requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Management team
Requirements:
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WHSO)
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in construction (ID trade)
- Experience in the implementation of ISO9001
