Responsibilities
- Develop and refine products, including formulation, processing and packing labels in compliance with the regulatory requirements for local and export markets.
- Collaborate with R&D team to ensure new products can be exported to target overseas market.
- Conduct routine review of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products and update the relevant halal certificates.
- Prepare and review technical documentations, including product specifications, quality reports and compliance documents.
- Prepare and submit documentation for certification applications and maintain compliance with certification standards.
- Ensure products meet relevant certifications (e.g. halal) and manage the certification process.
- To be appointed as Management Representative for halal and ISO standards.
- Conduct internal audit for quality and halal.
- Maintain accurate records of quality contract tests, certification processes, and product development activities.
- Generate regular reports on product quality, certification status, and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in product quality and certification processes.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food product development, food processing, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and sensory evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency in using food processing equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
