Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Gymnastics Coach who is passionate about inspiring students to achieve their full potential. The coach will play a key role in planning and conducting gymnastics classes for recreational and lower-level competitive gymnasts and tumbling teams, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. Additionally, the coach will perform administrative duties to support class management and the day-to-day operations of the gym.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Training:
- Plan and lead gymnastics lessons for recreational and lower-level competitive gymnasts across various apparatus.
- Demonstrate and explain proper techniques, ensuring that students understand and can safely perform the skills taught.
- Share knowledge, ideas, and practical tips to help students master the skills and improve their overall performance.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assess trial class students to determine their suitability for the appropriate class level.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students regularly, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skill development.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and milestones for each student.
Safety and Supervision:
- Ensure a safe training environment by adhering to safety protocols and providing necessary spotting and supervision during skills practice.
- Identify potential risks and address safety concerns promptly to prevent injuries.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist in class scheduling, managing student registrations, and maintaining accurate records of class sizes and enrollments.
- Support in organizing and administering events such as holiday camps, competitions, and workshops.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to class management, student progress tracking, and communication with parents.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain excellent communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure transparency and trust.
- Foster a positive and supportive working relationship with the entire Galaxy Gymnastics team to contribute to a collaborative and engaging environment.
Event Participation:
- Play an active role in special events, including organizing and supporting holiday camps, workshops, and internal and external competitions.
- Assist in promotional events and activities to increase the visibility of Galaxy Gymnastics within the community.
Ongoing Learning and Improvement:
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance personal coaching skills through professional development, training, and staying updated on the latest gymnastics coaching techniques.
- Share insights and best practices with colleagues to contribute to the overall improvement of the coaching team.

Job Requirements:
- Education: Higher Nitec, diploma, or degree in Sports Coaching or a related field.
- Certification: NROC (National Registry of Coaches) license is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided for candidates without the NROC license.
- Experience:Minimum experience in coaching sports from kids to adults environment.
Experience in both recreational and competitive coaching is a plus, with opportunities for higher compensation. - Skills and Attributes:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to motivate and engage gymnasts of various ages and skill levels.
Strong organizational skills to handle both coaching and administrative tasks efficiently.
