Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, sake, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with the restaurant's high standards.
- Create and suggest drink pairings that complement the yakitori menu and enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked with necessary supplies, including ingredients, glassware, and garnishes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring it is always presentable and well-prepared for service.
- Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Engage with customers at the bar, taking drink orders, answering questions about the menu, and providing recommendations.
- Prepare specialty drinks or unique beverages that align with the restaurant's high-end concept.
- Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring that beverages are prepared and served in a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with setting up and closing the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Work closely with the service crew and kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination of service.
- Stay updated on beverage trends and continuously seek to improve and innovate the drink offerings.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end or Japanese restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including mixology, sake, and wine.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Basic understanding of Japanese culture and cuisine is a plus.
