The Hydraulic Modeler for Water Distribution Networks is a key element in the SUEZ Singapore team dedicated to advancing the state of the art of digital twin systems and delivering cutting edge digital transformation to Water Utilities in Asia.
Reporting to the Project Manager for a drinking water network digital twin project in Singapore, the Hydraulic Modeler is in charge of the hydraulic models that will be used in real-time in the system. He/She will also be a main point of contact with the system users, supporting them and gathering requirements for improvements.
The Hydraulic Modeler is autonomous but will be supported actively by senior modeling experts from SUEZ Consulting, providing methodological guidance as well as helping in solving particular issues that may arise.
Responsibilities & Duties
- In coordination with the data scientist in the team, prepare and validate all data to be used for model building and calibration (asset information, sensor data…).
- Build and/or update hydraulic models to ensure a good fit with the structure of the network. Calibrate the model to a level meeting the demands of the client.
- Participate in the definition and validation with the client of the model calibration KPIs, and of the automated model health monitoring module part of the digital twin system.
- Write model building and calibration reports, including for periodic recalibration. Produce drawings as needed.
- Be the point of contact with the client on all topics related to the hydraulic model and its updates, establishing professional relationships and ensuring delivery of the results.
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring progress, evaluation results and identification and resolution of constraints.
- Participate in the production of all deliverables (study intermediate and final reports, progress reports, ensure their submission in due time).
- Provide training sessions to users when necessary.
- Ensure high standards of HSE in the planning and execution of operational tasks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with clients is critical
- Fluent in English
- Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident only

This position may require security clearance and adherence to strict confidentiality protocols due to the sensitive nature of government data and operations. Flexibility in working hours and occassional travel may be required to support.
