Overview:

The Policy/Reports Executive at CHCSA will play a vital role in supporting the development, revision, and implementation of policies within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in the charity and eldercare sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, Policy Manager, and board members to ensure that CHCSA’s policies are effective, compliant, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Review:

  • Assist in the drafting, development, and review of policies under the guidance of the Executive Director and Policy Manager.
  • Ensure that all policies are up-to-date, clear, and comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Research and Benchmarking:

  • Conduct research on policies adopted by similar organizations and in related sectors to benchmark best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay informed about changes and trends in regulations that impact the charity sector, eldercare, and human resource management.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Monitor government and sector-specific policy updates to ensure CHCSA’s compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare summaries and updates for the Executive Director and Policy Manager regarding important changes and developments.

Collaboration and Approval Processes:

  • Coordinate with board members, committees, and other stakeholders in the refinement and approval of policies.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions related to policy development and revisions, ensuring all voices are heard and integrated into the final documents.

Report Generation:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining reports as assigned by the Executive Director or Policy Manager, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Develop templates and standards for future reports to streamline reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and committee members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Reporting:

This position reports directly to the Policy Manager and Executive Director.
