Accounts Payable Executive (AP)

About the Role:

The incumbent is required to perform all accounts payable transactions. He / She will provide financial and administrative support by ensuring all invoices received are accurately recorded and all tasks are completed by the necessary deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and review accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports and purchase orders;
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers;
  • Perform daily AP transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording AP data;
  • Process all AP transactions in compliance with Group Policies and Procedures;
  • Ensure that all invoices are timely posted in the accounting system;
  • Reconcile vendor statement of accounts monthly and resolve any discrepancies or issues;
  • Prepare and process payments, including electronic transfers and cheque issuance;
  • Manage vendor invoices by matching Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, and authorized approval;
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve accounts payable and payment-related queries;
  • Prepare monthly journals and schedules;
  • Any ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accountancy;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Good understanding of the FRS and relevant Accounting Standards, GST and local tax;
  • Adopts an open mindset to drive continuous improvement;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to business needs;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Candidate who can start work immediately or with short notice would be advantageous.
