Responsibilities:
- CMM Programming and training the other site Engineer and technicians
- Manage supplier part qualification process (SPQP) to ensure the quality of the delivery from supplier to comply to the processes.
- Complaint management that includes preliminary failure analysis, containment coordination, disposition coordination with supplier, RTV arrangement, follow up on 8D, and repair order delivery.
- Perform audits at supplier site for NPI pilot production process qualification, 8D implementation.
- Perform first article inspection at supplier site to ensure supplier have the measurement capability in terms of equipment and supplier technicians have the skill set required.
- Develop inspection plan/instruction for incoming inspection.
- ISO 8015 expert, conduct training to supplier on the common GD&T tools.
- Calibration management to ensure the equipment calibrated on schedule and also advance planning for measurement equipment for NPI parts.
- Material review board (MRB) management
- Review OQC reports
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Conduct process audit.
- Overview internal acceptance rate and jigs & fixtures working conditions.
- Reinforce our requirements and continuous improvements.
- Monthly performance review meeting
- Review first article (FA) submission package
- Compliance to latest / P.O level drawing
- Review inspection report and method of inspection
- Material & treatment certificate.
- Control plan
- Measurement System Analysis
- CPK Study
- Pilot production audit
- Lead IQA and workload balancing
- Monitor the daily outstanding list
- Make sure IQA technician follow the standard operating procedure
- Oversee the calibration activities
- Maintain 6S
- Apply 5whys 1H principle
- Investigate the rejected parts
- Disseminate the outcome to different stack holders
- Proactive to avoid reoccurrence
- Review existing FMEA, control plan and outgoing inspection reports
- Perform supplier process audit identify the area for development
- Review past rejects and make improvements on current process
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years' experience
- Preferably one or two process knowledge such as machining, sheet metal, plastics, and Moulding process
- Familiar with advanced GD&T
- Auditing skill
- Calibration of simple tools and familiar with calibration standards
- Metrology skill that includes hands on experience in CMM, Smart scope
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
