KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Project Manager on monitoring the site works progress and when necessary to expedite the site works progress to meet the project schedule
  • To monitor compliance to applicable company codes & standards, safety practices, QA/QC policies and meeting performance specification during the Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • To ensure Contractor’s site works are in-line with the scope of works and schedule to provide updates to the Project Manager for site work
  • To review the engineering deliverables from the Engineering team and provide feedback to the Project Manager for any corrective actions required
  • Work closely with the QA/QC engineer(s) to enforce the quality of works at site and are aligned with the QA/QC quality plan and other documentation
  • Work closely with the Safety Officer / Coordinator to ensure the HSE plan and associated documents such as Method Statement and Risk Assessment (MSRA) are reviewed, amended, discussed and agreed with all relevant stakeholders including the O&M team.
  • To ensure the Permit-to-Work (PTW) are applied in advance as per Sembcorp HSE requirements and the PTW to be issued expeditiously by O&M team for the Contractor to commence their work
  • To attend the weekly and monthly Engineering / Project meetings with the Project Manager for follow-up action with the Contractors
  • Main coordinator for meetings between external departments, vendors, suppliers, etc, for meetings, alignment on schedule and timelines that could affect the project schedule.
  • Manage site office inventory and support site office purchases
  • Review variations of scope together with Project Manager and engage required parties E.g., QAQC Engineer, Engineers, Operations & Maintenance personnel to confirm and align expectations
  • Assist the Project Manager in any commercial matters related to the project.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree in any related Science or Engineering discipline (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, etc)
  • At least 1-5 years of experience in petrochemical, refineries, power utilities, water industries or renewable energy in projects management environment.
  • No experience but with a keen interest in construction and project management are encouraged to apply


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Good software knowledge and skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Sketchup and MS Project
  • Good understanding in International Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, IEEE, rules and regulations would be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment
  • Possess good communication (oral), presentation and written skills
  • Possess at least a Class 3/3A driving license for adhoc situations would be an advantage
  • Attended and obtained WSH course certifications for supervisor/ manager level; Work At Heights, Confined Space, Lifting Work, Radiography Testing, Excavations Works, Hot Work & Work in a Hazardous Area would be an advantage
  • Attended and obtained the WSQ Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant [previously known as Oil / Petrochemical Industry Safety Course for Supervisor (OPISCS)] conducted by WDA-ATP or similar, equivalent external course would be an advantage
