RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA).
- Analyze large datasets from the Singapore Life Panel surveys and other sources
- Utilise data mining and statistical analysis techniques to uncover insights related to the physical, social, economics, and mental well-being of Singapore's ageing population.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to interpret findings and provide actionable insights.
- Assist with data cleaning, processing and publication of updated Singapore Life Panel (SLP) dataset conducted in STATA.
- Assist with literature reviews, and staying up-to-date with academic literature on the treatment of longitudinal data.
- Research, Publications and Reports
- Assist with data analysis, survey design and research support for academic studies and translational research (including co-authoring journal articles alongside researchers in economics/ psychology/sociology; quarterly research briefs and newsletters).
- Contribute to research collaborations with ROSA's partners.
- Prepare reports, visualisation, and presentations to communicate findings for funders and relevant stakeholders.
- Centre's Outreach
- Assist with workshops, seminars, roundtables and ROSA annual symposium.
- Prepare research presentation materials for conferences, seminars, events or media releases.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS).
- Experience with data mining techniques and tools.
- Ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
