Job Overview
As a Service Technician at Munters, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial dehumidification equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic and technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service. You will ensure that equipment operates efficiently and meets customer needs, while also identifying sales and service opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to perform repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial and industrial dehumidification equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
- Provide training to customers on standard Munters equipment, explaining basic operations and maintenance procedures.
- Submit detailed field service reports, offering technical feedback on equipment performance and service activities.
- Communicate professionally with customers, both in person and through written and phone communication, in a service-oriented manner.
- Promote sales and service of Munters equipment during customer interactions, identifying potential opportunities for upgrades and additional services.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations during all service activities to maintain a safe working environment for both technicians and customers.
Requirements:
- NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Training in HVAC systems and components is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in the commercial or industrial HVAC industry, or a combination of work experience and HVAC vocational training.
- Experience with routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical or electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems or related technical equipment.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License.
