Leadbuild is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Civil & Structural Manager to join our dynamic team for a major construction project in Singapore.
The primary responsibility of this position is to contribute to the overall success of our organization by planning, managing, and monitoring engineering functions.
Job Description
- Responsible for providing a fully functional structural system, analysis, and calculations to fulfill adequate structural integrity and accuracy of the design.
- Must be able to lead, manage, and check all kinds of Civil and Structural Design drawings by members.
- Value engineering, providing constructive review, and approval of C&S consultant’s drawings and in-house RC, structural steel, and architectural shop detail drawings.
- Coordination with relevant departments during the Design stage and ensure that all technical/detailed drawings are in compliance with the related codes and/ or regulatory requirements.
- Require to carry out the construction work smoothly on-site and ensure handing over in accordance with schedule given.
- Ensure that all drawings are done with constructability to site requirements, be practical, easy to understand, able to meet client's expectations, and have good profitability for the Company.
- Drawing list submissions, scheduling, structure handover, and coordination with Consultants and Construction Team.
- Lead a team of workers and sub-contractors to perform structural work on site.
- In-depth understanding of structural drawings, specifications, and requirements.
- Oversee structural works, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors on structural matters.
- Site rectification and inspections.
- Resolving site issues with the Consultant, Construction/Structure Erection, and QA/QC team.
- Project Resource Management
- Approval and Review of Project Schedule
- Carry out work scheduling, project supervision, and documentation.
- Ensure timely completion and good quality of work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to mitigate construction project risks.
- Other ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil & Structural, or any related courses). A master's degree in engineering management is an added advantage.
- PE Certified preferred.
- At least 5 years of related working experience in structural site site management.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, structural design and analysis software, and AutoCAD or Microstation
- Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently
