Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Home in upholding the vision and mission of PERTAPIS.
- Implement, manage, evaluate and ensure consistency amongst Residential Care Unit (RCU) staff in service standards, service delivery, operational processes and procedures in accordance with the regulatory requirements for the residents.
- Oversee RCU staff and ensure that all are equipped with the necessary skills to carry out their duties, and to recommend continuing professional development courses.
- Ensure that RCU staff establish rapport with residents whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Enhance the wellbeing of RCU staff by addressing grievances and resolving them at a primary level and to escalating to Head of Home and Senior Management if necessary.
- Ensure smooth handover and takeover duties of RCU staff.
- Work collaboratively with Home’s Staff in ensuring safety, security of residents and staff in the Home.
- Monitor RCU staff’s productivity and provide constructive feedback to better their overall work performance.
- Ensure RCU staff comply with PDPA and confidentiality when dealing with residents.
- Manage the monthly Homes's roster, ensure accuracy, kept current and up-to-date.
- Assist in preparing and submission of Payroll.
- Oversee implementation of measures to mitigate risk to clients.
- Assist the Head of Home and Deputy Head of Home in amending and revising Standard Operating Procedures periodically).
- To ensure that all records, accounts, documents and correspondence (i.e., email, messages) are properly maintained and kept up to date.
- To assist Head of Home developing and reviewing Business Continuity Plans.
- Carry out preliminary investigation of incidents and to conduct disciplinary actions.
- Support all PERTAPIS programmes, activities or duties as and when required.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Home Management and Higher Management.
Candidate Requirements
- Min. diploma / degree in operations management or similar
- Min. 3 years of relevant working experience, preferbly in social service sector.
- Able to perform morning and afternoon shift duties
- Knowledge of basic IT (MS Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)
- Good interpersonal and communication (Oral and written) skill
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
