Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Client Consultation:
· Meet with clients to understand their financial goals and needs.
· Collect and analyze information regarding income, expenses, and risk tolerance.
2. Financial Planning:
· Develop tailored financial plans that align with clients' goals.
· Recommend investment strategies, insurance policies, and other financial products.
3. Investment Management:
· Advise clients on investment options and manage their portfolios.
· Monitor and adjust investment strategies as market conditions change.
4. Risk Management:
· Evaluate clients' risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
· Plan for risk management through diversification and other strategies.
5. Retirement Planning:
· Help clients prepare for retirement by assessing income needs and planning accordingly.
· Advise on pension plans, IRAs, 401(k)s, and other retirement options.
6. Ongoing Client Support:
· Regularly review and update financial plans based on clients' changing needs.
· Provide continuous advice and support to clients regarding financial decisions.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
· Ensure that all financial advice and actions comply with current laws and regulations.
· Maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
Experience/Requirements:
1. Educational Background:
· A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
· Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) can be advantageous but are not always required.
2. Licensing:
· Necessary licenses include SCI M5, M9, M9A, HI (SG specific) to sell basic financial products like insurance & investments.
· M8, M8A, M6 licensing for selling CIS/Securities products, if applicable.
3. Certifications:
· Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is highly valued.
· Other certifications like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) may also be beneficial.
4. Experience:
· Typically, 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, investment advisory, or a related role.
· Experience working with financial software and tools is often required.
5. Skills:
· Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and trends.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction.
· Ethical decision-making and adherence to fiduciary responsibilities.
· Ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
· Knowledge of investment strategies, and financial products.

· Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
