Job Description
- Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, decor, transportation, and other event-related services
- Contribute to budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial planning for events
- Monitor expenditures, negotiate with vendors, and strive to maintain cost efficiency while delivering high-quality event services
- Serve as a liaison between clients and the event management team, understanding client requirements, and ensuring that event objectives align with client expectations
- Provide regular updates, seek feedback, and address any client concerns or inquiries throughout the event planning process
- Coordinate on-site event setup, overseeing the implementation of plans, schedules, and ensuring seamless execution
- Manage event staff, and vendors during events, handling any issues or last-minute changes that may arise
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Events Management or related studies
- At least 5 years in the events industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of event planning processes, including logistics, budgeting, scheduling, and execution from inception to completion
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple events simultaneously, ensuring they stay on track, meet deadlines, and stay within budget constraints
- Proficiency in negotiating contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best deals and manage vendor relationships effectively
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- The ability to think creatively and come up with innovative event concepts and experiences that stand out and engage attendees
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to timelines
- Able to work on weekends (including Public Holidays)
