Job Description
. Procurement of all technical supplies (Deck, Engine, Others) for the vessel (s).
. Procurement of all ship provisions.
• Ensure all quotations are submitted within customer’s deadline
• Sourcing for competitive prices and raise quotation to suppliers
• Prepare purchase and delivery orders in a timely manner and in accordance to vessel’s requirements
• Foster good relationships with both suppliers/customers to ensure all orders are delivered efficiently and cost-effective
• Liaise with agents and ships for prompt and accurate supply of vessel’s orders
• Close all invoices in a timely manner for both suppliers/customers
• Co-ordinate with warehouse and operations in order preparations
• Arrange and attend meetings, taking minutes if necessary
Requirements
• Secondary school qualification and above
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Negotiation and time management skills
• Have a positive work attitude
• Eager to learn and up for challenges
• Detail-orientated and sales driven
• Comfortable working with numbers
• Able to work independently as well as a team
• Effective account management skills or proven ability to build and maintain business relationships
• Be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
