Job Overview
The candidate will assist the Human Resources Director in developing and delivering the Group’s HR services that help the Company in attracting, retaining and developing talent. He/she will also be responsible for providing HR advisory and support to the assigned business units.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Partnering
- Partner and support Heads of Department (“HODs”) and line managers in a full spectrum of HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation, and performance appraisals as well as learning and development.
- Work closely with HODs on people management plans, including headcount planning, or organizational and team structure plans, for internal staff to meet business objectives.
- Handle on-boarding and off-boarding process for staff from assigned departments.
- Provide information required for annual budgeting and surveys submission
- Contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
- Guide HODs on performance management process such as coaching, counselling, career development and performance improvement plan for non-performing employees.
Learning and Development
- Manage the end-to-end learning and development process, including development of training plans for departments, training needs analysis, internal e-learning materials.
- Follow up with the various departments on internal and external course registrations, including liaising with training vendors, communication of training details to the employees.
- Ensuring that all training activities are recorded accurately.
- Follow up with employees on training evaluation to ascertain training effectiveness.
- Assist with compilation of training reports and analytics.
- Monitor for relevant funding, grants, and support initiatives available for the Company to utilize.
- Management of learning management system.
Compensation
- Manage job evaluations, salary structures, salary surveys submissions and data collection to drive compensation decisions for the Group.
- Ensure compensation programs comply with internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Keep abreast of Singapore and Australia market trends and practices to provide market insights and required recommendations, in line with compensation strategies to effectively attract and retain talents.
- Administer performance management process including annual salary review and variable bonus exercises, and provide recommendation based on cost modelling and simulation.
- Establish policy, rating and distribution guidelines to ensure consistency in assessing employees during the annual review exercise.
- Plan and implement the annual performance review exercise to ensure timely delivery
- Act as a consultant to HR team (AUS and Singapore) on compensation related exercises such as annual performance review and job evaluation.
- Provide advice to managers and HR Partners on compensation and performance management related queries.
Benefits
- Manage relationships with external vendors of benefits services and drive service level.
- Review existing benefits and provide recommendations based on market practice, cost modelling and simulation.
- Negotiate benefits plan such as Medical Outpatient plans with vendors
- Evaluate existing and new benefits for the Group and implement framework and guideline where necessary
Other Projects
- Participate/ drive any HR projects such as government initiative or new commercial projects as assigned by supervisor
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software
- Proven track record in project management
- Solid understanding of labour legislation
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Some travelling is expected
