Job Summary: As an Assistant Operation Manager in a hotel, you will support the Manager in overseeing daily operations at the Front of House. Your role involves supervising and mentoring the team, handling guest requests, and ensuring seamless coordination between departments. You will help maintain RWS's commitment to luxury and attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards of guest service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in supervising the team and maintaining service standards.
- Conduct training sessions and mentor team members to enhance service delivery.
- Lead daily briefings and ensure effective communication within the team.
- Step in to lead the team in the Manager's absence, maintaining continuity of service standards.
- Assist with check-ins/outs and guest requests.
- Handle VIP and special guest needs with attention to detail.
- Manage complex guest issues and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee cashiering and maintain transaction records.
- Provide local information and arrange transportation, tours, and reservations.
- Assist with luggage, coordinate arrivals/departures, and ensure inter-departmental coordination.
- Maintain records of guest preferences and assist with special events.
Requirements
- GCE O Level required; a diploma/degree in Hospitality or Business Management is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience in luxury hotels is advantageous.
- Flexibility in shift work.
- Strong English communication skills are needed; additional language skills are a plus.
