In this pivotal role, you will combine the strategic insights of a Finance Business Partner, the analytical rigor of a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional, and the precision of an accounting expert. A trusted advisor to senior leadership, integrating finance into the strategic decision-making process and providing financial insights and guidance. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to align financial strategies with overall business objectives, drive financial stability and growth, and support the post-acquisition activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • A strategic finance business partner to senior leadership, contributing to the overall success of the cluster.
  • Oversee the financial, audit, tax, accounting functions and teams, you will be partnering with leadership teams to provide financial insights, guidance, integrating finance into the strategic decision-making process. This can include profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring that accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and disclosures are prepared for management and/or head office/regional office, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead post-acquisition integration projects and identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions with various stakeholders, including function heads and team.
  • Identify, leverage and implement appropriate technological solutions, such as Oracle Fusion/SAP, automation, data analytics, and digital tools, to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, internal controls, and processes in accordance with relevant accounting standards, legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all aspects of cash management, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, and optimizing capital to ensure the company maintains healthy cash flow.
  • Drive and lead initiatives to improve ROCE by analyzing the company's capital structure, identifying areas for efficiency enhancement, and implementing strategies to optimize capital allocation.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasting and statutory and internal audits; and tax reporting and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and create a rewarding team-based culture, including mentorship and development of staff.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • University qualifications preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 years’ experience from Logistics/Container leasing/Shipping/NVOCC industries.
  • Possess business acumen, with the ability to balance commercial and financial considerations to deliver commercial solutions.
  • Sounds knowledge of financial accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be driven, analytical, hands-on and detailed oriented.
  • Familiar with the accounting, tax and legal requirement for Southeast Asia market
  • Sound judgement and analytical thinking that enables decision making, ability to manage projects and prioritize and manage timelines.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, and retain top talent through effective people management and leadership skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with Oracle Fusion and SAP would be an asset.
