Responsibilities:
As a Laser Scribing Process Engineer you will be the owner of the laser processing at Singfilm Solar R&D line and will transition laser processes to a new mass production line. This will include operating and maintaining the laser scribing, cutting and drilling equipment, running baseline production, running and troubleshooting tool failures, developing new ablation and scribing processes, transferring R&D ablation and scribing processes to large-scale manufacturing laser tools, developing SOPs and training other operators.
You will run baseline laser ablation and scribing recipes for pilot production lots, characterising the scribed perovskite thin film with optical microscopy, SEM, profilometry and testing perovskite solar modules with photoluminescence, electroluminescence and Sun-Voc. Data analysis and presentation will also be required. Occasionally you are also expected to develop new technological equipment to improve the scribing quality and solve more complex engineering problems to enhance the production yield and lower production cost.
As a professional engineer, you are expected to follow safety requirements and prevent accidents, keep good communication with the research team and maintaining clean work environment.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor or higher degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of professional or academic research experience
- Previous experience with nano- and femtosecond laser materials processing is a strong plus.
- Experience in thin film characterization
- Good communication, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a diverse team
