Job Title: Autonomous Mobility Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Process Management:Design, implement, and optimize production processes for autonomous vehicles (AVs) and their subsystems, ensuring efficiency and quality.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, design, software, hardware) to integrate AV systems into production workflows.
    Oversee the assembly and production line setup for autonomous mobility products, such as vehicles, sensors, and control systems.
  2. Quality Control and Assurance:Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure that all AV components meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
    Monitor production for any deviations from specifications, ensuring that autonomous systems are produced according to regulatory and safety standards.
    Conduct root cause analysis on production defects and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  3. Autonomous Vehicle Systems Integration:Work with engineering teams to integrate autonomous driving software (e.g., AI, sensors, LiDAR, cameras) into vehicle platforms during the production process.
    Test and validate autonomous systems for performance, reliability, and safety, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software.
  4. Automation and Process Optimization:Identify opportunities to automate production processes, particularly in areas such as component assembly, calibration, and testing of autonomous systems.
    Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production time, minimize costs, and improve scalability.
    Ensure the production environment is equipped with the latest technologies and best practices for automation and robotics.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of high-quality components, materials, and equipment for the production process.
    Work closely with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure a smooth production workflow, from prototyping to mass production.
    Communicate production progress and issues to stakeholders, providing regular updates and insights into production efficiency and timelines.
  6. Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to autonomous mobility production, such as ISO, CE, and automotive safety regulations.
    Implement safety protocols in the production environment, ensuring the safety of workers and equipment handling during the production of AV systems.
  7. Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    Generate reports detailing production performance metrics, including yield rates, defect rates, and cycle times.
    Provide insights into production scalability and propose solutions for expanding manufacturing capacity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering, ideally in the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Knowledge of autonomous driving systems (e.g., sensors, LiDAR, radar, AI software).
  • Familiarity with production tools such as CAD/CAM software, PLM systems, and automation technologies.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex production systems.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
