Responsibilities:
This job requires you to operate sputter physical vapor deposition (PVD), evaporator and atomic layer deposition (ALD) systems; characterize thin films with stylus profiler scanning electron microscopy, four-point probe technique, absorption, and reflection measurements.
Data analysis and report writing using Microsoft tools are highly desirable. You will also communicate with external vendors for other characterization measurements, supplies, and parts.
You will be working with other scientists, technicians and process engineers in a research and development work environment. The position requires the ability to work on multiple programs in parallel and to work with other members.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor or higher degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of professional or academic research experience
- Experience in thin film processes by ALD (preferred), Evaporator, Sputtering, E-beam
- Experience in thin film characterization
- Experience in vacuum science and vacuum hardware design
- Good communication, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a diverse team
