Job Summary
Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, the General Ledger (GL) Accountant will oversee accounting, reporting, and business analysis for Singapore. This role involves managing the general ledger, supervising accounting staff, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also cover for the Country Finance Manager when needed and handle tasks like month-end closing, tax reporting, and audit management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end GL closing, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, cash forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain strong internal controls.
- Manage audit schedules and tax compliance (GST, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing).
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and handle ad-hoc projects, including system implementations.
- Prepare sales incentive calculations and collaborate with internal departments for financial analysis.
Requirement :
- Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified
